Joseph Nyamutera’s family were caught up in the Rwandan genocide. They helped targeted people cross the border into the Congo and survive. After the genocide, he spent 2 years in a refugee camp, where he lost his father, first son, sister, and many friends, to violence and disease.

Joseph Nyamutera took his pain to the cross of Jesus, where he found healing, and freedom to relate to the Tutsi as fellow Rwandans and friends.

For the last 2 decades, Joseph Nyamutera has helped others find forgiveness, peace, healing, and reconciliation through Christ. His dream is to see the Rwandan tragedy redeemed, as Rwanda becomes a model of successful conflict transformation.
